Fundraising

As a not-for-profit organization, Ridgewood Crew receives no public funding. Accordingly, we rely upon numerous fundraisers throughout the year to support the club’s mission. Money raised from fundraising activities goes toward equipment purchases and maintenance, coaching costs, transportation and race entry fees. 

In 2007, the Board of Directors founded the Robert Zeller Scholarship Fund, in honor of Ridgewood Crew's founding president, Robert Zeller.  The scholarship is funded through private donations and is open to eligible Ridgewood Crew seniors.

Saturday, March 3, 2012 - Ridgewood Crew will hold it's annual "Rowathon" which features our athletes erging in Van Neste Square. Stop by to watch our athletes erg and buy a treat from our bake sale.

Sunday, June 3, 2012 - Ridgewood Crew will host its annual Car Wash Fundraiser at Ridgewood High School from 9am to 4pm. Come meet the team, learn about rowing and get your car cleaned for a good cause.

It's planting season! Sure - you could go to Home Depot or a local garden shop, pay top dollar and contribute to a company's bottom line. OR, you could get your plants from Ridgewood Crew, save a little money and benefit Ridgewood Crew's Robert Zeller Scholarship Fund! That's right - You get top quality plants at affordable prices. We get a portion of the profits. And those profits will go directly to providing scholarship opportunities for RC seniors. Look for more info on the RC Flower Sale this spring.
